something wilde: The LONGEST and FASTEST Month of My Life

I'm not exactly sure how it happened that Kara is already one month old. And at the same time, it feels like she has been with us forever. She's definitely awake more now and taking everything in. She loves to sit up and watch everything. She's a pretty good sleeper and even sleeps for a 4-5 hour stretch at night. The boys were never so good to me! We still go back and forth on who we think she looks like. Pretty soon I'll give up and say she's a pretty good hybrid. At her 5 day check up, she weighed 6 lbs 1 oz. Then we went back at 2 weeks and she was only at 6 lbs. 2 oz. So we were put on a strict feeding schedule that nearly killed all of us. But when we went back at 3 weeks, she was 6 lbs. 11 oz. Awesome! We haven't weighed her recently, but she's definitely growing.

The boys just LOVE her. They are constantly asking to hold her. Clark has the cutest "motherese" when he talks to her. Whenever she cries, Kent comes over and does a nice, "shhh, shhh, shhh."

Now for the pictures that the family is demanding... :)

She wasn't as cooperative as she was in the 1 week pictures, and it's really hard to come up with a different way to pose a 1 month old. I guess I need to search Pinterest for some newborn poses.
