A Spooky FHE

Our Pumpkins (left to right: Jason, Clark, Kent, Mary)

Seeing all the fun food on Pinterest lately, I decided I would make a spooky dinner for our family home evening when we carved pumpkins. Mummy Dogs, Cheesy Fingers and Monster Jaws were on our menu. Let's break this down...hot dogs, apples with peanut butter and marshmallows, and string cheese. The kids wouldn't even eat it. Kent only at the cheese. And Clark ate a mummy dog but we had to really encourage him. And he only ate one. For crying out loud. I love dinner time...blech.

Clark gives Goblin Juice a big thumbs up.

Kent picks.

Then on to the carving! Clark has come such a long way from his first pumpkin carving experience! I remember him just screaming, "no, no, no, no, no" about the pumpkin guts. This year he cleaned out the pumpkin almost all by himself.

Kent would pick little pieces out (like one seed) and say, "look, I got a big one." Then he actually pulled this one out and Jason pretended to eat it. Kent thought maybe he should try it (even though he won't eat dinner on ANY given night). I at least was happy when he said, "that's yucky."

We even managed to NOT break our light fixture this year - hooray!

On to dessert...Nutter Butters covered in white chocolate and zombie boogers (green rice krispie treats left over from the primary program broken up into little pieces). Clark thought it was hilarious to eat zombie boogers. He even took it for his snack the next day.
