I Don't Want to be Considered Un-American...

So I'd better put some 4th of July pics up...otherwise you might think we only celebrate Canadian holidays.

I had three requirements for a decent 4th pic...is that too much to ask? The answer is obvious in the photos below...
1. Look at the camera
2. Give a little smile
3. Hold the flag

I gave up completely on trying to get a decent one of the two of them together. Here's the first and only attempt...

And don't you just love the honesty of little children...it was hot. and humid. and pretty yucky.

But we did have this awesome set up. We brought out teepee (or teetee or peepee, according to Clark) and my dad brought his dining fly. It actually wasn't that bad once you were out of the direct sun. And we got a primo spot for the fireworks.

All American Family...

Kent loved the fireworks. Well, I'm not sure if he loved them, but he certainly didn't mind them and he kept pointing to them as if we weren't paying attention. The fireworks show seemed slower than in past years, but it did still start with the airplane. We love that part. We met up with some friends from church which was a lot of fun. Great times with great people!
