Splash!

Clark's first experience in the pool. He absolutely loved it. I can't believe it is almost July and the pool is just now opened and ready for swimmers. Goodness! I also can't believe how big a diaper can get.

It's Like Buried Treasure

Dad's Day

Yet Another Trip to the Zoo

I'm sure you think that I live at the zoo. It feels like it sometimes. Here's today's pic picks. I think this might be Hagar the Northern Fur Seal. Or do I have my pinnipeds mixed up? Let's call him Hagar anyway.

Another Trip to the Zoo!

OK, so I guess we are trying to get the most out of our zoo membership! We went again, but with a slightly different crew. Gigi, Clark, Stephanie, Cameron, Aubrie, Michelle (Barton-Tunquist) and her three kids Tommy, Spencer and Joseph.

Gigi, Clark and I went to see the Butterflies exhibit. Clark loved them the best! Jason thinks that is a little sissy-ish, but I say who cares! Clark isn't too interested in things at the zoo that don't move around (which is almost everything), so I love when he waves his hands and starts talking to the butterflies. I couldn't seem to get a decent shot with both Clark and the butterflies, so I will have to see what Photoshop has to offer.

This is my new favorite picture. I just love those little pursed lips...such concentration.
Gigi and Clark taking a ride.
This was the other great part of the day. Clark stood in this bubble and the penguins just came over and started swimming around him. Any suggestions on how to shoot photos in this type of lighting? With flash it's all washed out and the aquarium disappears, without flash I get this all blurry and yucky. Any let's remember my last name isn't Nikon or Canon.

All of them...Animals!

We took another trip to the zoo for Cameron's last day of school. Clark got to meet goats for the first time and stingrays! We must have taken about 100 pictures trying to get a picture of Clark with the stingray. Grandma Wendy was pretty persistent and finally was able to "lift" this one up so that Clark could pet it. We didn't see the signs about not picking up the animals until after...oops!

Happy Birthday Alvina! Danielle and Alvin threw Alvina a birthday party at my parent's house. The three lane slip and slide was a big hit with everyone except for Clark. He doesn't like the cold hose water just yet.

I'm Getting Better

So here I am posting again. I can't believe it either! Melissa caught me today not checking or updating blogs enough, so here's to you Mull and Ace of Base for that matter!

Boompa took Clark for a ride on the tractor. He seemed to enjoy himself. I think we'll have him cutting the grass on his own by September.
Clark had a lovely time at Famous Dave's BBQ. He can't get enough corn on the cob. Food for thought...why do we eat corn on the cob (or any corn) when it comes out the same as it went in?
We went to a Pirate show last night and I just had to buy one of these eye patches for Clark. He makes a decent pirate, I think! The play was based on the book "How I Became a Pirate" by Melinda Long. Clark was watching pretty intently at the beginning, but about halfway through he just wanted to go home.
