Watch Me Grow...1 Week Old

Today Clark is one week old. It has been quite a learning experience as we all get used to each other. Clark is doing well. He sleeps a lot. He eats a lot. And he makes me smile a lot. This picture was taken in my room where I swear he looks around and is asking us what we were thinking when we bought this house.

I'm still adjusting to not knowing whether or not it is night or day. It doesn't really matter because I wear pajamas all day and sleep as often as I can. Come to think of it...all I do is sleep and eat now too just like Clark.

Jason is trying to manage everything else on his own. He is working, doing laundry, preparing meals, fixing up our house and now he has the added task of cleaning the basement. The entire basement has flooded with the recent rains and we have discovered mold everywhere. The dumpster is coming tomorrow. He really is a Superdad!

It's a bird..It's a plane...It's Clark Ryan Wilde!

Here he is - Clark Ryan Wilde! He was born August 20, 2007 at 2:21 AM. He did not come by water as planned but a C-section instead. This means that the next time we have a baby I will be scheduling my hair appointment at 9 AM and then scheduling my child's birth at 1 PM. It sounds like a pretty good plan to me. He was 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 inches. Everyone keeps saying that he was a big baby, but he looks pretty small to me.
Here we are being whisked down to our own postpartum room. We have to move fast or the sensors will put the place on lock down.
Here is the little Superhero. Or maybe I should say SuperPooper. I never knew that babies made such noises when they went to the bathroom. I crack up everytime I hear it.
Superdad and his Superson
I love how he looks like he is going on a roller coaster ride. He didn't like the car seat at first, but now that he has been on a few more rides he doesn' t mind the seat.

Polish Plasterers and Painters

We called in the Polish Plaster and Paint company to help us get the baby's room ready! We don't have too much longer to go. The room started with paint on top of wallpaper with stinky carpet. Then we had chicken pox walls and endless sanding. Soon there will be new paint and carpet with cute new furniture...I'll post the after shots soon! The baby will have the first finished room. Go figure.

It's Raining Baby!

The baby shower was last week. What fun! We got a ton of things that will come in handy soon (i.e. 12 days or so!). Unfortunately, only one picture was in focus...maybe that is fortunate...as you can see, I don't really fit in myself anymore. That is the only way to describe it. When I sit down there isn't enough room between my legs and my body to fit my stomach.
